The Fundamental Rules

Test on skin, never on paper strips. Test maximum five fragrances per session. Wear each sample for a full day minimum before evaluating. Do not make any purchase decision based on a boutique test alone — the opening you smell in a store is not representative of the fragrance you will actually wear.

Requesting and Obtaining Samples

Most boutiques will provide samples of fragrances you express genuine interest in. Ask directly and confidently — this is a normal and expected part of the fragrance shopping process. The Evaluation Process
