Fragrance Care and Storage: Keep Your Scents Perfect
Temperature Control
Extreme heat breaks down fragrance molecules and degrades quality. Store fragrances in cool places (60-75°F ideal). Never leave fragrances in hot cars or direct sunlight. Humidity also damages fragrances—keep them in dry environments.
Light Protection
UV light degrades fragrance molecules, causing discoloration and scent changes. Store bottles in dark places or in original boxes. Dark glass bottles protect better than clear ones. Keep away from windows and direct sunlight.
Proper Storage Location
Ideal storage: Cool, dark closet or drawer. Avoid bathrooms (humidity and temperature fluctuations). Avoid kitchens (heat from cooking). Original boxes provide extra protection. Keep bottles upright to prevent leakage.
Shelf Life
Fragrances last 3-5 years unopened if stored properly. After opening, fragrances last 1-3 years depending on storage and how often you use them. Higher concentration fragrances (EDP, Parfum) last longer than lighter ones (EDT).
Travel Tips
Use solid perfume or travel atomizers for trips. These are easier to pack and less prone to breaking. Keep fragrances in original bottles at home for maximum longevity.
